Arizona has emergency wildfire plans that are adjusted county-by-county to prevent catastrophic events like the ones seen in California. FOX 10's Lauren Clark has more.

PHOENIX — Fast-moving wildfires fueled by winds have forced countless Los Angeles residents to evacuate over the past few days. Firefighters from Arizona joined the hundreds of firefighters working to contain the California fires. Around 80 firefighters from Arizona were sent to the state as the fires continue to burn.

The Minnesota Vikings' Monday night playoff matchup​ against the Rams has been moved to Arizona due to devastating wildfires in the Los Angeles area.

The Rams earned a home playoff game by winning the NFC West in a tiebreaker against Seattle. The Vikings, who ended the regular season with the second-best record in the NFC and third-best record in the NFL, will play on the road after losing a game last Sunday to Detroit that served as a de facto NFC North title game.

The NFL moved the Los Angeles Rams’ playoff game against the Minnesota Vikings out of Southern California on Thursday, the biggest of several changes to the sports calendar after days of devastating wildfires in the area.

"Wildlife is incredibly resilient," a biologist for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service said, noting that "many species adapted to endure it."

Local organizations are helping the victims of the California wildfire - including the One Step Wild Burros and Mustang Rescue. They're collecting donations and helping evacuees who need a place to bring livestock.
