Three people died Monday night in a fire at a home on Locust Park that left two other people hospitalized, police said early Tuesday. Firefighters and police arrived at the home at 7:56 p.m. Monday to find the house in flames and learn several people were trapped inside.

Colonie, NY — Police are investigating a deadly house fire that erupted in the Village of Colonie. Three people are dead and two others hurt, according to police. The Colonie Fire Chief Jeff Kayser confirmed that he believes the residence may have been a hoarding situation, which made it more challenging to fight the fire.

COLONIE — Town police identified the three people killed in a house fire Monday night on Locust Park. Police said 72-year-old Lynne J. Lyons was killed, as well as her daughter Katelyn A. Ryan, 33, and Ryan’s husband, 42-year-old Timothy M. Ryan.

Fire crews are still battling a house fire on Locust Park in Colonie tonight. Colonie Police say people were in the home at the time of the fire, and some were brought to the hospital with injuries. They also said they cannot give any more information about the status of the victims as they have
