The Atlanta Falcons signed DJ Chark on Friday, but it wasn't necessarily an injury replacement for Darnell Mooney.

Former LSU football star DJ Chark has a new home in the NFL. Chark is taking his talents to Atlanta as he begins year eight.

The Atlanta Falcons are expected to sign veteran wide receiver DJ Chark Jr., according to a report from Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network. The former second-round pick spent last season with the Los Angeles Chargers,

Chark, who’s 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds, played last season with the Chargers. He was drafted by the Jaguars in the second round of the 2018 NFL draft out of LSU.

After bouncing around the last few seasons with different NFL teams, veteran free-agent wide receiver DJ Chark is in search of a new club.

The Atlanta Falcons have been nipping at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers ' heels for the NFC South crown the past couple of seasons, but luckily, the Bucs have been able to hold them off to win the division.

There was a lot of concern after Falcons wide receiver Darnell Mooney left the first day of training camp visibly shaken up, and those concerns only magnified when the team signed DJ Chark yesterday.
