The United Kingdom’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has appointed Doug Gurr, a former executive from Amazon, as its interim chairman. This appointment comes at a crucial time as the nation seeks to bolster its economic growth agenda.

As well as stimulating business investment, Doug Gurr will be tasked with promoting competition and safeguarding consumers.
