Exceptions remain, most notably U.S. Sen. Todd Young, one of the nation's finest senators. But the MAGA barrage on Indiana leaves Young marooned on an island of utilitarianism, with limited influence over his home state and even less over his party.

"This is a platter of opportunity when you come back to a state that's been run pretty well," said Republican Gov.-elect Mike Braun.
