ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Aaron Rodgers was actually the third option for the Pittsburgh Steelers this offseason.

Also, the Steelers have put together a talented roster around the future Hall of Fame quarterback. He has DK Metcalf as his No. 1 wide receiver, a defense capable of being elite, and young playmakers throughout the offense outside of Metcalf.

The Steelers may have waited around for Aaron Rodgers to finally sign a contract, but that doesn’t mean he was their No. 1 choice.
