Earlier this week we got a new teaser for Alien: Earth, an upcoming FX series set in the expansive sci-fi universe. It shows a nasty Xenomorph escaping containment inside a ship crashing into Earth. Scary stuff. But also, this show will (seemingly) deliver on a promise a single Alien 3 teaser made over three decades ago.

"Alien: Earth" is a new TV prequel to the "Alien" franchise. It starts when a spaceship crashes on Earth with a xenomorph on board.

Alien: Earth is the all-new original series expanding the Alien mythos - and it just got a new teaser. The brief clip is set on a spaceship hurtling towards Earth. We follow what appears to be a Xenomorph as it travels through clanging metallic corridors, the same sort found as far back as 1979's first Alien movie.

LOS ANGELES -- FX's new "Alien: Earth" series, part of the hit "Alien" franchise, is landing on Hulu this summer.

The teaser (which you can see above) follows a xenomorph racing through a human spacecraft, with emergency lights flickering red, and an automated voice repeating "Containment Breach". The footage puts viewers in the alien's shoes until it slams into a window, breaking the spell and showing the creatures' imminent arrival to Earth.

The official teaser trailer for Alien: Earth depicts a xenomorph frantically running in a ship hurling straight toward Earth. The xenomorph runs right into a glass window, giving fans a brief look at its large head. Judging by the tagline, “We were safer in space,” the xenomorph will unleash havoc on humanity.
