Foreign adversaries of the US may step up efforts to divide the country in the days and weeks after Election Day, the Biden administration says

Russia, and to a lesser extent Iran, will most likely flood social media with misinformation on Election Day and for weeks afterward, the agencies said.

In a joint statement released Monday, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, FBI and Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency said Russia and Iran remain active threats to undermine public confidence in the election.
