Kelly Cates, Mark Chapman and Gabby Logan have been announced as the three new presenters of the show.

But the BBC have still f***ed it, haven’t they. Because they’ve fudged it. In Chapman, Cates and Logan what they had was an excellent shortlist from which to make a final decision. What they did not have was a final decision. Any one of the three could have taken MOTD and run with it, put their stamp on it. But now none of them can do that.

The BBC has confirmed who will replace Gary Lineker on Match of the Day. It was confirmed back in November that the former footballer, who has hosted the BBC football highlights show since 1999, will exit his long-running role at the end of the season.

Gary Lineker's Match of the Day replacements have officially been unveiled. Lineker is set to leave the iconic football show come the end of the 2024/25 Premier League season after 26 years as its host.

The trio of Gabby Logan, Kelly Cates and Mark Chapman will replace Gary Lineker as Match Of The Day hosts after he leaves at the end of the current English football season.

Gary Lineker, the current host of the flagship show, is due to step down at the end of the season, having previously said it was the "right time" to go.
