Mercedes driver George Russell defeated Max Verstappen at Formula 1's Canadian Grand Prix to claim his first win of the 2025 season, while Lando Norris retired after contact with McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri.

Oscar Piastri extended his lead in the drivers' standings to 22 points ahead of teammate Lando Norris, who crashed into him on lap 67 of the 70-lap race.
