McLaren's Lando Norris says he was "very happy" after qualifying at the Miami Grand Prix, despite losing out on pole position to Max Verstappen.

Formula One champion Max Verstappen put Red Bull on pole position for the Miami Grand Prix on Saturday with McLaren's Lando Norris joining him on the front row.

Max Verstappen got pole for the Miami Grand Prix, ahead of Lando Norris in P2 and Andrea Kimi Antonelli in P3. After the first round of push laps, Oscar Piastri emerged as the top man with a gap to Max Verstappen of 0.

Napoli moved closer to their dream of winning the Serie A title with Saturday's win at Lecce and while manager Antonio Conte is not taking anything for granted, he dearly wants to be the one writing history as a winner rather than reading about it.

Norris took the checkered flag ahead of fellow McLaren driver Oscar Piastri, with Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton completing the podium in third place.
