EVANSTON, Ill. — With every successive shot that he made, each more absurd than the other, Ace Bailey would turn to the stunned crowd at Welsh-Ryan Arena with a smile, a word, a point, a celebration — sometimes, all at once.

Sophomore guard Jamichael Davis filled in for Harper as primary ball-handler and played a pass-first game, handing out a career-high eight assists to go along with seven points and three steals. Davis committed just one turnover and led the team in plus/minus at plus-19.

Freshman star Ace Bailey scored 37 points and Rutgers picked up a rare road win Wednesday with a 79-72 victory over Northwestern in Evanston.
