The Audi-owned Sauber Formula 1 team has signed Brazilian driver Gabriel Bortoleto for the upcoming 2025 season. The 20-year-old, who is currently leading the Formula 2 championship, will team up with experienced German driver Nico Hulkenberg.

Sauber has parted ways with Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu, leaving both drivers without an F1 drive in 2025. For Bottas it ends an unbroken 13-year stint in the sport, during which he won 10 grands prix while driving for Mercedes between 2017 and 2021.

The 25-year-old, who has endured a tough 2 years with the Swiss-based outfit, says he is discussing several options, will give update soon.
