Severe weather including hail and thunderstorms continue to threaten parts of Texas ahead of cold front next week.

A stormy day in Texas escalated quickly on Thursday afternoon with the formation of quick-moving tornados in and near Southeast Texas. Observers near El Campo, Texas captured video of one tornado touching down outside of town on Thursday.

Cities around the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area are reporting pea-sized hail, but more hail, tornadoes, and flooding remain a risk for much of the state.

A swath of severe weather spawned multiple tornadoes in southeastern Texas Thursday, part of a multi-day severe weather threat sweeping across the South through the end of the week.
