Canada on Wednesday ordered Chinese-owned TikTok's business in the country to be dissolved, citing national-security risks, but added the government was not blocking Canadians' access to the short-video app or their ability to create content.

Ottawa said Wednesday it is shutting TikTok's operations in Canada following a security review, but Canadians will still be allowed to use the popular video sharing app. Canada banned TikTok from all government devices last year and launched a security review of the application.
