The search for 57-year-old Vance Luther Boelter continues into its second day after he shot two Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses on Saturday. Authorities found his vehicle in Sibley County, 60 miles away.
An intense manhunt for the man accused of shooting two state lawmakers and their spouses ended Sunday night in Sibley County.
Boelter – who is suspected of two politically-motivated shootings early Saturday that resulted in the deaths of Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark, and the wounding of Sen. John Hoffman and his wife Yvette – is a resident of Green Isle in Sibley County.
Boelter, a 57-year-old former appointee by Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, was sought by police for allegedly shooting Sen. John Hoffman and his wife Yvette and fatally shooting former Democratic House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband.
