Noughties rockstars Linkin Park have delighted fans with their brand new album – their first in seven years – with fans already giving it ’10/10′. The American rock band, formed in 1996, were one of the biggest acts of the 2000s, with their debut album Hybrid Theory selling 32 million copies worldwide.

Talk about a welcome commercial reception. Linkin Park's Living Things debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 when it emerged in June 2012. Twelve years after the success of Hybrid Theory, Linkin Park showed the world they were still the hottest rock band around.

It’s fair to say that September’s unveiling of Emily Armstrong as the new singer of Californian nu-metal band Linkin Park was met with a mixed reaction by fans. Opinions on social media ranged from “absolutely disgusting decision” to “f–king phenomenal”.
