WHAT TO EXPECT: Supercell thunderstorms will fire up across SW Mississippi late Saturday morning. They will then move into the Pine Belt around lunchtime and linger through the afternoon hours. The highest risk for tornadoes will be along the I-20 & I-59 corridors in Mississippi & western Alabama.

A significant episode of severe weather is likely across the southern Plains. These storms will spread into far west and northwest Alabama late Friday night, but we expect *most* of those storms to stay just northwest of the WSFA area.
