The Delhi Assembly elections will take place in a single phase on February 5, with the counting of votes scheduled for February 8. The AAP is looking to retain the power for the third consecutive time.

In the 2020 election, AAP maintained its dominance with 62 seats, while the BJP won 8 and the Congress failed to open its account. In 2015, AAP had swept 67 of the 70 seats at stake, leaving just three for the BJP and none for the Congress.

BJP MP Yogendra Chandoliya said on Wednesday that the exit polls indicate the BJP has "defeated" Arvind Kejriwal and his "corrupt government." Polling to elect the 70-member assembly of Delhi concluded on Wednesday evening with a voter turnout of 60.
