Queensland, Western Australia, the ACT and the Northern Territory have become the latest state and territory governments to ban the use of DeepSeek on government devices. They join South Australia and NSW which had initiated earlier bans.

Australia has banned DeepSeek from all government devices over concerns that the Chinese artificial intelligence startup poses security risks, the government said on Tuesday.

Australia directed all government entities to prevent the use of DeepSeek products, applications and web services on government systems and mobile devices.
