Flight Risk”—director Mel Gibson’s airplane thriller starring Mark Wahlberg—is apparently already on its way to digital streaming. Find out when and where it is expected to debut.

There are certain films that look incredible — on paper. Those films are often put on the “Black List,” a register of the most-loved unproduced screenplays in Hollywood as determined by a survey of Hollywood machers.

Alissa Wilkinson of The New York Times agrees, noting “Where “Flight Risk” fails as a film is not really Gibson’s fault. He knows how to shoot action sequences. The screenplay is instead all over the place, in a way that feels tired and halfhearted.”

Mark Wahlberg plays a villain role in a contained action/thriller that at 90 minutes long is pretty much taking place in real time. However, in actuality, it may have been more entertaining to simply raw dog this plane ride than see the thin story,

Directed by Mel Gibson, “Flight Risk” bears all the cliches of the past. For far too long, the film and the story are on autopilot.
