It was widely anticipated that the RBI will deliver a rate cut and, hence, the market has not reacted much to the rate cut, said an analyst.

Mumbai: The Indian stock market on Friday traded almost flat after the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced a 25 basis points (bps) cut in the repo rate. The BSE Sensex was trading down by 112 points or 0.14 per cent at 77,945, while the Nifty was at 23,585 with 18.30 points or 0.08 per cent lower during the intra-day trade.

The trends on Gift Nifty indicate a mildly positive start for the Indian benchmark index. The Gift Nifty was trading around 23,715 level, a premium of nearly 25 points from the Nifty futures’ previous close.
