The surviving members of Nirvana reunited at FireAid with guest vocalists St. Vincent, Kim Gordon, Joan Jett and Violet Grohl.

The temporary band leads included Kim Gordon, St. Vincent, Joan Jett and Grohl’s 18-year-old daughter Violet, who he shares with wife Jordyn Blum. Singing the last song for the group, Novoselic walked to the mic and introduced Violet onto the stage before performing their classic 1993 hit “All Apologies.”

An absolute highlight of tonight’s FireAid — before it was even over — was the comet-like reappearance of the remaining members of Nirvana onstage together playing the band’s songs again. The lineup included drummer Dave Grohl,
