Certain players throughout the NBA just have an ability to understand the stage and moment and really step their game up in those times. For the Los Angeles Lakers on Christmas Day, the two players who understood that assignment were LeBron James and Austin Reaves.

The shooting guard shared how the Lakers have found a way to be successful without their best player in the lineup.

Austin Reaves scored the winning layup with one second left after Stephen Curry tied it on a 31-foot 3-pointer with seven seconds remaining.

Anthony Davis finished with 36 points and 15 rebounds and Austin Reaves had 26 points and 16 assists with LeBron James out because of illness in a 132-122 win.

Steph Curry rivalry was an instant classic. Curry scored 38 points, including a game-tying 3, but Austin Reaves' last-second layup gave the Lakers a 115-113 win. LeBron James led LA with 31 points.

Reaves lifted the Lakers over the Warriors, 115-113, to hand Golden State (15-14) its 11th loss in the past 14 games. Curry finished with 38 points — a personal Christmas Day best — including eight 3s, and James poured in 31 points.
