Juneteenth will likely see intense thunderstorms in most of the Baltimore area as a cold front moves into the region, according to the National Weather Service.

If you thought tornado season in the United States was on its last legs, think again. On Tuesday, the National Weather Service placed parts of Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas on tornado watch. There was also a tornado warning issued for Colorado and Wyoming.

The National Weather Service has renewed Walker County’s designation as a StormReady Community. The four-year designation provides continued recognition of the county’s efforts to reach a high level of preparedness for severe weather.
