Harrison Bader hit a go-ahead double off the Green Monster in the eighth inning, Byron Buxton hit a game-opening home run, and the Minnesota Twins took the weekend series against the Red Sox with a 5-4 victory to take two of three in Boston.

BOSTON — The Twins took a series of gut punches in the middle of their road swing to Cleveland and Boston, losing four tight games, all of which they were in late. They finished the road trip on the other end of it, punching back and winning just their second and third one-run games of the season.

Byron Buxton homered and Ryan Jeffers added two hits and two RBIs to help the visiting Minnesota Twins defeat the Boston Red Sox 5-4 on Sunday.
