Knobs on ranges can be unintentionally activated, an issue that has proved a hazard with other brands, safety agency says.

The 22 models listed by the company were related to fires that caused more than $340,000 in property damages, eight minor injuries and three pet deaths.

About 500,000 LG electric ranges have been recalled in the U.S. after more than 28 fires were reported, which resulted in minor injuries and at least three pet deaths.

The ranges were sold at Best Buy, Costco, Home Depot, Lowe’s and other appliance stores nationwide and online at LG.com.

There are 86 reports of unintentional activation of the front knobs, 28 fires, at least eight injuries, and three pet deaths, per the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
