The Colorado Department of Transportation closed all eastbound lanes of Vail Pass on Tuesday morning to allow crews to recover the wreckage of a semi that crashed last week.

Eastbound I-70 will be completely shut down from East Vail to Copper Mountain so that CDOT crews can finish cleaning the wreckage from a major crash on Vail Pass last week. “The full closure and recovery operations are expected to last at least six hours,” the Colorado Department of Transportation said in a social media post on the pending closure.

The Colorado Department of Transportation will close eastbound Interstate 70 at the East Vail exit on Tuesday at 9 a.m. so crews can remove wreckage from a truck crash.
