After Trump and Zelenskyy’s argument at the White House in February, peace talks between the U.S. and Ukraine are set to take place in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.

Mr Zelenskyy briefly met Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman after the end of the daily Ramadan fast on Monday. Mr Rubio is also in the Saudi coastal city of Jeddah for the talks. He was not due to meet Mr Zelenskyy but he held talks with the crown prince to discuss Yemen, Syria and the reconstruction of Gaza.

Two senior Ukrainian officials say a Kyiv delegation that will meet with America’s top diplomat in Saudi Arabia will propose a ceasefire with Russia covering the Black Sea and long-range missile strikes.
