The Canada geese that were found dead on Sunday at a pond at a park in Mount Pleasant have tested positive for Avian Flu, officials confirmed Friday. As a result, the Carroll Park in Thornwood will remain closed until further notice.

The 12 geese that were found dead at Carroll Park in Thornwood died as a result of bird flu, according to the Department of Environmental Conservation. News 12 first reported Town of Thornwood officials said the birds were found on Feb. 2 and were removed by a wildlife expert for further testing.
