A new live album by Whitney Houston will be out Friday, following the limited theatrical release of a film commemorating the 30th anniversary of Houston’s three 1994 concerts in South Africa.

Whitney Houston was the first major Western artist to perform in a post-apartheid South Africa in 1994, and the first of her three dates is captured in “The Concert for a New South Africa [Durban],” a film that will be playing in select theaters on Oct.
