Capitals goalie Logan Thompson said he was distracted by a tray of cheese-covered nachos thrown on the ice while Oilers winger Corey Perry scored on him in Edmonton on Tuesday night.

Talk about a perfectly timed dish! Edmonton Oilers veteran forward Corey Perry took a unique route to the net during Tuesday night’s game against the Washington Capitals, skating around a plate of nachos a fan had thrown on the ice and slapping a one-timer from teammate Leon Draisaitl past goalie Logan Thompson.

In a game where the Capitals struggled to get much going offensively, it was Thompson who helped hold down the fort. The Capitals' stars also stayed hot, with Pierre-Luc Dubois putting up another multi-point outing to help power D.C.'s offense and Tom Wilson striking again.

Thompson is set to start in Tuesday's road matchup against the Oilers, per Bailey Johnson of The Washington Post.
