The Boston Red Sox already have been tied to the biggest free agent in next year's class. The Toronto Blue Jays and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. were discussing a possible contract extension but set a deadline for the start of Spring Training.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr., the homegrown face of the Toronto Blue Jays, is set to become a free agent this fall unless he signs a contract extension. Other question marks hover over the team, which opened spring training on Thursday in Florida.

Guerrero has a $28.5 million, one-year contract and will be perhaps the top free agent on the market one year after Juan Soto signed a record $765 million, 15-year contract with the Mets.
