I feel for fans of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers right now. On the heels of one of the hottest offenses in the NFL, they won the NFC South, made the playoffs, and barely lost in the Wild Card Round off of a doinked-in field goal.

The season did not end the way that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers wanted, falling to the Washington Commanders 23-20 this past weekend in the first round of the playoffs. This is a talented team who unfortunately had a couple of holes in the roster that didn’t allow for them to hit their potential.

The penultimate matchup of Wild Card Weekend belongs to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Washington Commanders. In the Week 1 rematch, the Buccaneers will look to reach the Divisional Round for the second consecutive season, while the Commanders hope to break their 19-year playoff win drought.

Zane Gonzalez caromed a 37-yard field goal off the inside of the right upright and through the goal posts as time expired to give the Washington Commanders a 23-20 victory over the host Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday night in an NFC wild-card game.
