At least 224 people have been killed since Israel began bombing Iran on Friday, Iranian state media reported, while Iranian retaliatory strikes have killed at least 24 people in Israel.

The conflict between Israel and Iran has escalated dramatically between the two longtime foes, and the deadly attacks are entering their third day.

Israeli fighter jets have been able to repeatedly strike sensitive targets across Iran, including in the capital, Tehran, after destroying much of Iran’s air defenses.
