Former Bossier City PIO has died
BOSSIER CITY, La. -- Traci Ponder, the former public information officer for Bossier City, has died. Ponder suffered a heart attack in 2021 and did not fully recover. Mayor Tommy Chandler said Ponder held the PIO role before he took office; however, he had the privilege to serve with her for a short time.
Former Bossier City Public Information Officer Traci-Tierney Ponder Passes Away
Traci, remembered for her professionalism and dedication during her time as a city spokesperson, is survived by her husband, Deputy Jonathan Ponder, and their two young daughters. Jonathan Ponder is a former deputy with the Bossier Sheriff’s Office and currently serves as the Public Information Officer for the Shreveport City Marshal’s Office.
