The Los Angeles Angels won the World Series title with Freddie Freeman putting on a historic performance to get crowned the MVP of the Fall Classic. Freeman set a new record by hitting a home run in each of the first four games despite playing with a damaged ankle to help his team get past the New York Yankees.

Freeman said he doesn’t know if the ankle will ever be 100 percent again, but his approach at the plate looks as strong as ever.

Today, it was announced by Major League Baseball via the show Intentional Talk that Freeman was awarded the National League Player of the Week for the first full week of May.
