GRAND RAPIDS, MI – A crash has closed a stretch of I-196 just east of downtown Grand Rapids, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation. All lanes of eastbound I-196 at Diamond Avenue NE are closed as of 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, MDOT officials said. The crash was first reported around 3 p.m.
