Several top dignitaries paid tributes to former prime minister Manmohan Singh at a prayer meet organised in his memory at the Gurdwara Rakab Ganj here on Friday

Authorities in India have declared a seven-day mourning period to honor Manmohan Singh as politicians and public paid tributes to the country’s former prime minister widely regarded as the architect of India’s economic reform program.

Shabad Kirtan and Antim Ardas for Dr Singh, who had served as Prime Minister from 2004 to 2014, were held at the Gurudwara Rakab Ganj Sahib, in presence of his wife Gursharan Kaur and family members.
