For the first time in the event's history, the Winter Classic will be headed to South Florida. Per an announcement from the NHL, the league announced the Florida Panthers will take on the New York Rangers in the 2026 Winter Classic on Jan.

The Panthers will play host to the Rangers​ at loanDepot Park in Miami -- home of baseball's Marlins -- on Jan. 2, 2026, the NHL said Wednesday.
