For five consecutive days, wildfires fanned by strong winds have ravaged neighborhoods in Los Angeles, destroying more than 12,300 homes and buildings and leaving at least 16 dead. Fresh evacuations were ordered from Mandeville Canyon to the Interstate 405 freeway on Friday evening because of a flare-up of the massive Palisades Fire.

Updating maps of Southern California show where wildfires, like the Palisades Fire and Eaton Fires, are burning across Los Angeles.

A full-scale firefighting effort stretched into Saturday in the upscale Los Angeles neighborhood of Pacific Palisades, as the wildfire there expanded into an additional 1,000 acres overnight with residents warned of potential worsening weather conditions over the next 72 hours that could further stoke the blaze.
