Singapore plans to increase passenger and airline fees at Changi Airport over the next six years to support a SGD3 billion (US$2.3 billion) infrastructure upgrade across its four terminals and address rising operational costs.

Changi Airport will increase its airport charges progressively between 2025 to 2030 to fund upgrading works over the next six years. Changi Airport Group (CAG) said the increase is aimed at passengers departing from or transiting through Singapore, and airlines operating at the airport, according to a press release on Nov. 7.

Singapore's Changi airport will embark on a series of infrastructure upgrades, investing about S$3 billion ($2.3 billion) across six years to improve services like baggage handling, immigration, and facilities to accommodate Boeing's new 777X.
