The Asus ROG Strix Scar 18 has more than just the latest RTX 50 series GPUs going for it, with a gorgeous and user-upgradeable design.

With CES coming to a close, there was a lot of new tech devices announced and that includes the 2025 lineup of ROG gaming laptops from ASUS, powered by the RTX 50-series GPUs that NVIDIA announced this week as well.

The Strix Scar 18 now feels sleek, and that makes all the difference. The keyboard sits flat to the top of the inner deck, with no dent in the chassis to accommodate it. The finish looks and feels somewhat satin, and seems remarkably resistant to fingerprints—a bug bear of mine on almost all gaming laptops.
