The legendary New York Giants quarterback didn't make the cut for the Class of 2025 in his first year of eligibility. Manning was one of 15 finalists who were in consideration for the honor. He didn't make the cut for the final 10 after a "vigorous discussion" about his candidacy.

The four-person class is the first since 2005 with fewer than six inductees. Adam Vinatieri also missed out in his first chance.

Eli Manning was in his hometown this week for various events and appearances leading into Super Bowl 2025 but this did not turn out to be a grand homecoming for him.
