Two years after his tragic death at a work site, the family of a longtime St. Paul water services employee has won a major settlement from the construction company.

The family of a construction worker killed by a backing-up dump truck while at work in 2022 will receive a $8.5 million settlement. Peter Davis, 61, of Stillwater, had worked for the St. Paul Regional Water Services Department for over 40 years. He had retired from the department just before the fatal incident happened.
