BIRMINGHAM: Leading India to their first-ever Test win over England at Edgbaston will remain one of his "happiest memories" whenever the time comes to call it quits, said India captain Shubman Gill revelling in the resounding series-levelling victory here.

Shubman Gill didn't have a great record outside the subcontinent, but the young India captain has put his best foot forward in the ongoing England tour, scoring runs in heaps and guiding India to a 336-run win at Edgbaston.

Following India's crushing victory at Edgbaston, a video is going viral on social media, where an English fan can be seen singing a song outside the Edgbaston ground for pacer Akash Deep. The fan can be heard singing “Akash Deep, Akash Deep Bowling England Out, Akash Deep!” after the end of Day 5.

Akash Deep took six wickets as India crushed England by 336 runs to level the series at 1-1 on Sunday after they bowled out the hosts for 271 to claim their first test victory at Edgbaston and Shubman Gill's first win as captain.

Shubman Gill was named Player of the Match for his remarkable batting in both innings. He scored 269 in the first and 161 in the second.
