Arsenal host historic rivals, and FA Cup holders, Manchester United in the pick of the third-round ties at the Emirates Stadium today. The two teams have not been in the best form recently, but can put a smile back on the faces of their fans by progressing to the fourth round.

A new year has brought some kinder fortune for two of Manchester United's understated backups. Joshua Zirkzee converted the clinching penalty as United beat Arsenal 5-3 in a shootout in the third round of the FA Cup.

Arsenal's Kai Havertz was the only one of the first four penalty takers to miss, before Zirkzee – booed off in a defeat by Newcastle United last month – stepped up to win the shootout 5-3.
