Rockstar Games announced the delay of Grand Theft Auto 6, but at least GTA6 got an actual release date: May 26th, 2026.

May 26, 2026. Instead of the previously targeted Fall 2025 launch, GTA VI is set to be out in a bit over a year from now. "We are very sorry that this is later than you expected," developer Rockstar Games said in a statement.

This is hardly new for Rockstar – GTA 5 was originally slated for a Q2 2013 release before being delayed to September that year, while Red Dead Redemption 2 was delayed no less than three times, before being released more than a year after it was first planned.
