Governments around the world are evacuating thousands of their nationals caught up in the rapidly spiralling Israel-Iran conflict, organising buses and planes and in some cases assisting people crossing borders on foot.

There is no need yet for mandatory repatriation of Filipinos in Israel and Iran, President Marcos said yesterday, as the raging hostilities between the two countries threaten to further escalate and undermine the global economy.
