Voters in Portland, Oregon, have elected political outsider Keith Wilson as their next mayor. Wilson, a Portland native and CEO of a trucking company, ran on an ambitious pledge to end unsheltered homelessness within a year of taking office.

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Portland mayoral candidate Keith Wilson announced he will hold an acceptance speech early Thursday afternoon. Although the race has not officially been called, Wilson currently leads all candidates in the Portland mayoral race with 62% of the vote (112,538 votes).
